  • Do you accept insurance?
Firefly Speech & Language Therapy LLC is considered out of network with all insurance companies. However, we are able to bill insurance companies for out-of-network benefits for each session. Contact your insurance company directly to find out what your reimbursement rate is according to your specific plan. *We are not able to bill Medicare/Medicaid insurance. Out of network services allow us to provide the best care possible for each child. We are not limited by insurance companies about the type of therapy, frequency, or duration of services. Private pay services and remaining balances may be paid for via credit card, check, or HSA/FSA card.

  • My child did not qualify for early intervention or school-based services, can you still work with them?

  • Could my child benefit from both school services and private therapy?
Yes! Many children participate in private speech services in addition to school services. Benefits of private therapy include 1:1 services and increased parent involvement. This allows you to know that to practice and how to practice at home, leading to quicker progress.
  • How often will my child need to be seen?
Frequency and duration depend on the goals we determine are necessary following evaluation. Speech therapy sessions are 30 minutes long and children are typically seen 1-2 times per week. Progress will be monitored throughout all sessions and changes can be made as needed.
  • Do you offer teletherapy services?
Yes. As long as you are located in MN, we can set up virtual services. We understand that families are not always able to come to our office. If this is a service you are interested in, let us know so we can determine if it would be appropriate for your child. Teletherapy is also a great option on days with poor road conditions or when you are visiting family within MN.
  • Can you see my child at their daycare/preschool?
Yes. Let us know if this is something you are interested in and we will check if your daycare/preschool allows us to provide therapy services in their facility.
